Ex-Operation Ivy frontman/lyricist Jesse Michaels returned in 1999 with his first real band in ten years, Common Rider, joining forces with Mass Giorgini and Dan Lumley from Squirtgun and Screeching Weasel. "Last Wave Rockers" is not just for Operation Ivy fans but the album is an extension of that band, showcasing the same insightful, beautiful lyrics and the same kind of musical intensity.
