MTX strike back with a new 7" and the debut of the "Starship" line-up on this two track classic (with extra tunes on the CD version). Joel Reader steps up to the bass player's plate along with Jolt drummer, Jim Pittman. This EP (or is it a single?) would be the last release before Dr Frank and band unleashed the album "Love is Dead" upon the world, featuring a title track that played at the then (early 90's) burgeoning 'alternative' music scene.

The Mr T Experience "Tapin' Up My Heart"

Dr Frank and company blast off two sure-fire hits on this 7" from 1994. Produced by Kevin Army and featuring Sweet Baby's Dallas Denery on backing vocals, this two track 7" would be the last recording with bass player Aaron Rubin (who left to focus on his other band, Samiam). "Tapin' Up My Heart" is a stop-and-start pop punk about the tribulations of love, while "My Stupid Life" is a classic MTX upbeat rocker.

The Mr T Experience "Gun Crazy"

MTX drop in between albums for this short sweet offering from 1992. "Gun Crazy" was quickly deleted after its first pressing due to the unauthorized use of a photograph by Larry Clark for the cover artwork. Three of this band's most upbeat and melodic treats are contained within - "More Than Toast" sees Dr Frank at his lyrical best in an ode to female ways, and "Swallow Everything" and "Together Tonight" are classics. These three glorious tunes were so good they were rerecorded for 1994's "Our Bodies, Our Selves"

“Love American Style” is a classic witty MTX, serving as tease of the soon to be released “Milk Milk Lemonade” full length. Dr. Frank’s trademark songwriting rules on the title track, packed with catchy lead breaks, and pop punk goodness. This EP featured two non-LP tracks on the flip, a cover of the “Spiderman” TV show theme, and the rocking “Somebody Wants To Love You”.

MTX (known by the long-form The Mr. T Experience) has been a pop-punk powerhouse since their 1986 self-released debut album, "Everyone's Entitled To Their Own Opinion." For their tenth studio album the band, led by eminently witty and talented Dr. Frank, have once again teamed up with producer Kevin Army (Operation Ivy, Sweet Baby) because if it isn't broke, don't fix it. The resulting album, "Yesterday Rules" is a whip-smart 12 song pop-punk affair. This is the band's first new full-length since 1999's "Alcatraz" and marks the debut of new members Bobby on bass and Ted on second guitar and keyboards. The Mr. T Experience "And The Women Who Love Them" was originally released in 1993. It's tight production, no-nonsense arrangements, clever lyrics and giant melodies helped set the benchmark for punk rock with pop sensibilities in the 1990s. This special addition contains the original 6 song EP, MTX's "Alternative" EP including previously outtakes from the original sessions, demos, b-sides and compilation tracks, all remastered with updated and expanded artwork. "The Miracle Of Shame" is an MTX EP from 2000, that blends Dr Frank's unique songwriting with a new recording style (and new bass player Gabe Meline, formerly of Tilt). This five song EP was cut at various studios in the San Francisco bay area and features great Hammond organ work by Erik Noyes. Includes "Mr. Ramones," and "I Don't Know Where Dan Treacy Lives," about the elusive leader of the cult British band, Television Personalities.

The Mr. T Experience "Alcatraz"

The Mr. T Experience's 1999 album, "Alcatraz" was termed symphonic pop by Lookout Records at the time of it's release. The album showcases Dr Frank's compelling and unique style of songwriting which seems to reach new heights with each MTX release. Sonically, "Alcatraz" owes debts to Noel Coward, The Ramones, an array of overlooked underground music and AM rock from the 1970s. Features "Naomi" about Beauty Myth author Naomi Wolf and "I Wrote A Book About Rock And Roll" about a certain controversial Bay Area rock critic.

From 1997, "Revenge Is Sweet and So Are You" is a fabulous feel-bad album that exposes emotions more distorted than a fun house mirror. Dr Frank outdoes himself as a smart, funny songwriter that does not bite his tongue as you break his heart, with Joel and Jym providing an excellent musical foundation. This album includes MTX fan favorites "Swiss Army Girlfriend," "Love Is Dead," and "Hella Dumb."

The Mr. T Experience "Big Black Bugs Bleed Blue Blood"

MTX's final Rough Trade release from 1989 was originally a seven song 12" EP but was reissued by Lookout as a 10" EP. "Big Black Bugs Bleed Blue Blood" includes Mr. T Experience classics like "Gilman Street," the prophetic "The End Of The Ramones," and "Dictionary Girl," which was penned by Dr Frank at the tender age of 13. The CD contains a number of bonus cuts bringing the total number of tracks to 31.
